Tau Robe
The Tau — the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, the sign of the cross before the cross — has been worn by initiates of the Western Mystery Tradition for centuries. The robe is a working garment, not a costume, and the construction has to match that.
Each robe is cut and sewn to one practitioner's measurements. The deep bell sleeves, generous hood, and full-length fall move with the body in ritual without binding, gathering, or shifting at the shoulders. There is no rack stock and no shared pattern: every garment is made from one measurement set.
Materials
Three fabrics, each chosen for ceremonial use rather than appearance alone. The price point reflects the fabric, not the construction — the build is identical at every level.
Cotton-Linen Blend — $245. The accessible ceremonial tier. Lightweight and breathable, the cotton-linen blend drapes cleanly while maintaining structure through regular ritual use. A practical and refined choice for working robes worn frequently in temple and lodge settings.
Italian Silk-Wool Blend — $425. The formal ceremonial tier. The silk-wool composition produces a smoother, heavier drape with greater visual depth and a more elevated presentation than the entry fabric. Well suited to initiatory work, formal lodge settings, and ceremonial operation.
Australian Merino Wool — $795. The flagship robe tier. Fine Australian merino produces a soft, structured drape with the weight and finish of an heirloom ceremonial garment. Intended for long-term ritual use and constructed as a lasting piece of ceremonial attire.
Optional Hoodlets
Hoodlets are available as an optional addition to any robe order. Each hoodlet is constructed in the corresponding robe fabric and priced according to material tier.

Construction
Double-stitched throughout — every stress seam doubled rather than single-passed — so the garment holds up to repeated handling, packing, hanging, and lodge use. The hood is set with enough depth to draw forward over the head without crushing the shoulder line. The sleeves are cut on the bell so they fall correctly with the arms either at rest or extended in ritual gesture.

Measurements & Fit
The order requires five measurements: neck-to-floor for robe length, shoulder-to-fingertip for sleeve length, chest circumference, overall height, and head circumference for the hood. The product page includes a measurement diagram that walks through each one. Submit measurements taken over light clothing for the closest first-time fit.
Use & Care
Worn for grade work, opening and closing rituals, magical operations, and order ceremonies. Hang to store. Spot clean cotton-linen for routine care; dry clean the silk-wool blend and merino wool. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight. With reasonable care, the robe is built to last decades of working use.
