Gnostic Templar Order Cloak
A cloak for the Gnostic Templar Order, built around the meeting of two blues. Royal blue outside, a paler blue inside — and the second blue is the one that does the work. A cloak in motion shows its lining more than its shell: at the shoulder when it is thrown back, at the hem on a turn, along the whole opening when it hangs. Line a royal blue in black and the garment goes flat and reads as a single mass. Line it in a blue two steps lighter and every fold has an edge.
Satin, chosen because it carries light along the fold rather than absorbing it. Full length, full sweep, with a hood. The fleur-de-lys is set at the shoulder and appliquéd rather than printed — which is why its edge stays crisp instead of feathering after a year of use.
Made to your measurements, to your order's specification. Nothing about it is cut to a size chart.
